The WhiteInsight 7415 is the result of a long and thorough development process by TRUTH JAPAN. The model was built from hundreds of hours of fishing in the Tsugaru Strait and the ocean, in close collaboration with Captain Kikuchi from the Hakodate STEEL ship. The goal was clear: to create a rod that would allow a single angler to engage in a real battle against a bluefin tuna weighing 200 kg and above – and win. Design Philosophy The 7415 wasn’t just built to be “stronger”. The concept was to create a tool that would give a real advantage in long battles: • The rod responds to boat movements and integrates with battle conditions. • Power balance adapted to the strong currents of fishing in the Tsugaru Strait and the Pacific Ocean. • Built to withstand extremely heavy loads and absorb tension even when held vertically for long periods. • The blank structure includes extensive use of fiberglass – not lightweight, but strong, absorbent, and durable over time. WhiteInsight 7415 Perfect Combination The 7415 incorporates a new connection slightly above the reel seat, combining: • The flexibility and absorption of the 61112. • The butt power of the 7610. Thus, the strongest rod in the WhiteInsight series was born. It provides both durability and shock absorption, as well as tremendous power in close battles. Field Tests and Real Experience • Tested in various locations throughout 2024. • In January 2025 – A series of battles against tuna over 150 kg in the Tsugaru Strait and Pacific Ocean confirmed its durability against 200 kg . • Mada, the rod developer, personally participated in battles and based the final specifications on real field experiences. • A new grip was designed to reduce hand strain and maintain a stable grip over time Performance in Real Battle • Fish up to 100 kg – The rod functions easily, the battle is smooth, and control is complete. • Against extremely heavy fish – At the beginning of the battle, it can be held vertically, but as hand strength decreases, it’s recommended to use the roller seat as a lever pivot. • This reduces the load on the body, making the battle more efficient. • The tremendous butt power provides an advantage especially in direct battles under the boat. • The rod’s rear push maintains constant pressure, giving an opportunity to turn the fish’s head in moments of weakness. Safety • It’s mandatory to use a quality gimbal belt to prevent dangerous slipping. • Practice quick removal from the gimbal to deal with sudden fish movements. • Rods with custom aluminum gimbals require special attention. • Always remember: The rod’s tremendous power can become dangerous if not handled properly.
