TRUTH JAPAN OceanSprinter 856

TRUTH JAPAN OceanSprinter 856 Popping Fishing Rod The newest model: absolute control and winning versatility The OceanSprinter 856 is the most commonly used rod by the Truth Japan development team, and for good reason. It was designed to be the “sharpest” rod in the series, perfectly combining operational lightness with “stickiness” (Nebari) and fighting power. It is specifically designed for fishing Hiramasa and Yellowfin tuna up to approximately 40 kg, using PE #5-6 lines. The concept: perfection in balance As with the entire OceanSprinter series, the goal is to make fishing easier and let the rod do the work. Sharpness at the tip: This is the lightest and sharpest feeling model in the series. It “cuts” through the wind (even against it) better than other models, allowing for prolonged work without fatigue. “Honest Bend” curve: Despite the sharpness, under load the rod bends smoothly and progressively. This feature prevents sudden stress changes on the fish (the main cause of escapes) and allows for constant and stable pressure that tires the fish and protects the angler’s back. Compared to the 838/8110 models: The 856 produces less physical strain on the body. It maintains the required power but with a more “crisp” and faster feel. Versatility in use The rod has been successfully tested in the Goto Islands and North Kyushu on Hiramasa, and in Mie Prefecture on tuna. Lure range: It can handle everything – from small “Patern Sardine” to large lures (Patern Dorado/Shira). Casting ability: Up to 100 g: A full swing cast can be performed with confidence. 100-130 g: You can cast comfortably by “loading” the weight onto the rod (Lob Cast) in a circular motion. Fighting recommendation (very important!) Gimbal Belt: When using PE#6 line and in relatively short fights (up to 10 minutes), it is not recommended to use a low position fighting belt. Securing the rod to the belt limits the angler’s ability to react to sudden changes in the fish’s direction and may cause hook offs. The belt should only be used in prolonged battles against giant tuna (over 40 kg). Working angle: Do not hold the rod too straight up (High Stick). Maintaining an angle that loads the butt will utilize the rod’s true lifting power. Model: OceanSprinter 856 Length: 5’8″ Casting Weight: 30 – 120 grams (maximum: 150 grams) Line: PE #5-6 Guides: TITANIUM Rod Weight: 340 grams Handmade in Japan
