TRUTH JAPAN Black Dimension 103 Medium Heavy Jigging Fishing Rod The ultimate one-rod-does-it-all reef stick The new Shore MH Model is Truth Japan’s answer to the most adventurous anglers. It was developed for isolated reefs and hard-access rocky shores, places where you can’t carry multiple rods, and you need one rod that can handle any situation – from delicate sea bass fishing to battling aggressive amberjacks and groupers. After a development process that began in 2022 and went through three prototypes, the rod was officially launched in April 2025. Unprecedented Versatility The rod’s most outstanding feature is its incredible working range: Casting weights: From 15 g to 90 g. Lure types: The rod is designed to handle everything – from small 9 cm and 12 cm minnows for sea bass, through sinking pencils, vibration lures, to large poppers and diving pencils for monsters, and even jigs. Target audience (fish): Amberjacks/blue runners, sea bass (in working seas), large sargo/taman, and grouper (sujiara). The Development Story The rod has undergone precise evolution to reach perfection: Proto No. 1: Felt heavy and bulky, the lure release wasn’t sharp. Proto No. 2: Built from more elastic carbon. It was sharp and fast, but too stiff (“boardy”). This hurt the casting distance of small lures and the ability of minnows to “catch water.” Proto No. 3 (the final product): Re-engineered with about 80%-90% of the power of model No. 2. The result: a blank that “locks” and bends perfectly when casting (loading), effortlessly throws small lures, operates poppers and pencils smoothly, and still holds tremendous power to stop runs from groupers and amberjacks.
