Our exclusive specialty adapter replaces the Mocal SP1FT centerpiece. The original Mocal piece is difficult to tighten, due to casting clearance. A modified thin-wall socket is typically required to perform the install. To make matters worse, the original piece is also too tall for some applications (350z, 370z, etc.) preventing the thermostatic plate from be tightened fully and ultimately leading to loss of engine oil.We solve both problems by introducing a center drive piece and adjusting the overall dimensions. This is a must have for Mocal thermostatic plates.
