Its primary purpose is to ensure that the last few meters of your setup are completely pinned down to the lake bottom, thereby preventing fish from encountering a taut line, getting spooked, and fleeing the feeding area. The leadcore comes in the famous camouflage colors of the Edges series, which use shade breaks to visually disappear against a background of mud, gravel, or vegetation. Pinning to the bottom: The heavy lead core ensures rapid sinking and tight pinning to the bottom contours, preventing “line bites” (fish body touching the line).
