Description Subject: View of the St. Panthaleon Church in Cologne, Germany. Medium: Crayon style lithograph with original hand colouring on wove paper (vellin). Artists and engravers: Lithograph by Anton Wunsch after a drawing by Johann Peter Weyer. Johann Peter Weyer (1794-1864) was a German Architekt, Draftsman and publisher from Cologne. Anton Wunsch (1800-1833) was a German lithographer from Godesberg Source: Published in ‘Sammlung von Ansichten offentlicher Platze, merkwurdiger Gebaude und Denkmaler in Coln.’ by Johann Peter Weyer (Koln: Bachem 1827). Johannes / Jan Weissenbruch (1822-1880) was one of the most famous Dutch realistic painters of mostly city scenes. He also made watercolors, lithographs and etchings. Light, shadow and atmosphere characterize his work. He was also active as a restorer and art collector. He was a cousin of Jan Hendrik Weissenbruch.
